Every month, the late evenings at the Hilton Garden Inn Évora will host a unique and very special event that pairs wine tastings from the region with a dinner featuring traditional flavors and Live Jazz Music. The next event is scheduled for March 1st and 2nd.

Hilton Garden Inn offers an experience for wine experts, enthusiasts, and the curious alike, located in the heart of Évora's city center. On the very first Saturday of each month, guests are invited to explore the wines and different cuisines of the Alentejo region. The experience kicks off on Friday with a guided tasting led by producers chosen by the hotel's F&B Director, Álvaro Grilo, who will introduce the unique characteristics of each wine.

The inaugural wine event, featuring Mainova wines from the Alto Alentejo region, is set for March 1st and 2nd. These wines, known for blending Alentejo flavors with sustainable practices, will be showcased in a free tasting session lasting 1.5 hours, starting at 6:30 pm.

Saturday's dinner will feature a menu crafted by Chef João Farinha, designed to complement the wines' aromatic profiles. The evening begins with a mushroom dish served with pumpkin sauce and slow-cooked egg, followed by two main courses: a cod loin with sweet potato and orange puree, baby corn, sautéed shrimp, and cod foam for the fish dish; and for the meat option, lamb with chestnut puree, tuber textures, shiitake mushrooms, and roasted shallots. Dessert will be a refreshing mango cheesecake and passion fruit cake with mango tile.

Future events will feature wines from Herdade da Cardeira on April 5th and 6th, Monte da Bica on May 3rd and 4th, and Herdade dos Grous on June 7th and 8th.

The wine dinner starts at 7:30 pm and costs €50 per person, including wine selection. Reservations can be made via email at sales.manager@hgievora.com or by phone at 266 248 84.
