Holiday Inn Beja prepares to open doors

Investment of around 17 million euros from the Canadian group Mercan, the Holiday Inn Beja, which resulted from the recovery of a hotel project that was stopped for several years, is preparing to open its doors and is already accepting reservations from September 1st.

Located within the medieval walls of the Beja castle, the new 4-star hotel will offer 95 rooms, a restaurant, a bar, an outdoor pool, a shopping area, and 163 parking spaces. In June, a press release from IHG – InterContinental Hotels Group stated that the Holiday Inn Beja was scheduled to open in the second half of 2024. Recently, the mayor of Beja, during a visit to the city by professionals who will work in the new hotel unit, organized by the municipality, said that the new 4-star hotel in the city would open in August. However, it is only possible to make reservations from September 1st on the various booking sites, including the hotel's.

The Holiday Inn Beja resulted from the recovery of a hotel project that was at a standstill. On the Mercan Properties website it can be read that “this project will restore the interior of the building, preserving the facade”, further reinforcing that “an existing building will have a new life”.
