The most irreverent gastrobar in Porto celebrated its first anniversary in true Blss U style — with a themed party where the seven deadly sins took center stage. From exclusive cocktails and bold menu creations to artistic performances designed to surprise, the event captured the venue’s daring and provocative spirit.

Guests were welcomed with a festive toast of sparkling wine and birthday cake, setting the mood for an evening that was anything but ordinary. The disruptive décor became an instant attraction, with photo-worthy spots such as the “Mirror, mirror” corner — a nod to envy — and the DJ booth draped in red curtains and neon lights, symbolizing lust.

Throughout the night, signature cocktails inspired by the seven sins added to the experience. Highlights included Avarice, made with 42 Below vodka, Finger Tree ginger beer, lime, and ginger foam, as well as Sloth, a refreshing blend of Bombay Sapphire, lime, pineapple, citrus liqueur, and celery perfume — perfect for those holding on to summer. To keep the celebratory spirit alive, every first cocktail came with a second one on the house.

The entertainment matched the bold theme. Alongside the energy of radio host Ana Isabel Arroja, who is a regular presence at Blss U, DJ Mutaca lit up the dance floor with her infectious Afro-inspired beats. Circus performers added a striking layer of intensity, combining fire, balance, and movement in a captivating display.

The evening also introduced guests to the new menu created by Chef Xavier Oliveira, where global flavors meet contemporary cuisine. Dishes like shrimp baos with sunomono, peanuts, and togaroshi, and the inventive inverted spinach and ricotta lasagna showcased the chef’s creative vision. And of course, no anniversary would be complete without cake — served late into the night to close the celebration on a sweet note.
