AHM – Ace Hospitality Management has been nominated in four categories for the Xénios 2026 – Excellence in Hospitality Awards, promoted by ADHP (Associação dos Diretores de Hotéis de Portugal). These nominations recognize professionals in hospitality who have stood out over the past year, celebrating leadership, operational excellence, and the ability to elevate guest experiences through strong teams and consistent performance.

Álvaro Aragão (General Manager at Renaissance Porto Lapa Hotel) and Diogo Fragoso (General Manager at Holiday Inn Beja and Holiday Inn Express Évora) are nominated for 'Best Hotel General Manager'. For the work at Hilton Garden Inn Évora and Forno da Telha restaurant, Álvaro Grilo is nominated for 'Best F&B Director, and Joana Gabirra, from AHM - Ace Hospitality Management, is nominated for 'Best Revenue Management Leader'.

Together, these four nominations reflect the breadth of AHM’s capabilities—from hotel leadership and food & beverage operations to the strategic discipline of revenue management that supports sustainable growth.

About the Xénios 2026 process

After an initial application phase, seven nominees per category were selected based on submitted resumes and supporting statements. These nominees now move into public online voting, which will determine a shortlist of the three most-voted candidates per category as the official finalists.

ADHP also notes that the final winners will be determined through a combination of online voting and an expert jury, with results to be announced during the 22nd ADHP Congress (date and location to be shared soon).

As ADHP President Fernando Garrido emphasizes in the association’s communication, the Xénios renew ADHP’s commitment to valuing the people who sustain excellence in Portuguese hospitality—honoring dedication, leadership, and innovation, and reinforcing the profession’s strategic importance to building a sustainable and competitive tourism sector.
