Pizzeria Fontinha Brings Together Romance, Pizzas, and Soul in a Special Valentine’s Day Dinner

For centuries, William Shakespeare wrote about intense passions. In Porto, that literary inspiration serves as the starting point for a night where romance meets Italian cuisine and live music. On Saturday, February 14, Pizzeria Fontinha is offering a special Valentine’s Day dinner that brings all of that together.

The evening begins with a welcome cocktail, created for the occasion. At the table, the couvert features homemade Italian focaccia, scented with rosemary and fleur de sel, meant for sharing. The starter is burrata served with pesto, basil, and cherry tomatoes.

At the heart of the meal, each guest can choose between two pizzas created especially for this date. The Tartufo Nero combines truffle paste, fior di latte mozzarella, gorgonzola cheese, and truffle carpaccio. The Prosciutto pairs tomato sauce, fior di latte, Parma ham, arugula, and buffalo mozzarella, in a more classic take on Italian cuisine.

Dessert closes the dinner with a dark chocolate brownie, served with salted caramel and strawberries. To end the night, there’s also space for a toast with limoncello.

Throughout the dinner inspired by Shakespeare’s romances and the classics of Italian cuisine, the atmosphere will be accompanied by live music, with a 1960s soul performance by Anabela Silva. Sonnets by the writer will also be recited, adding to the romantic tone of the evening.

The Valentine’s Day dinner at Pizzeria Fontinha takes place on February 14, Saturday, in two seatings — at 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM — and costs 40 euros per person. The price includes beverages such as water, soft drinks, Sílica Unoaked white and red wine, coffee, and tea.
