Three Hotels From Mercan Properties Portfolio Nominated for the Portugal Travel Awards by Publituris 2026

Mercan Properties continues to strengthen its position in Portugal’s hospitality sector, with three hotels from its portfolio, and managed by AHM – Ace Hospitality Management, nominated for the Portugal Travel Awards by Publituris 2026. This is one of the most recognized distinctions for excellence in tourism and hospitality in Portugal.

The new Origine Porto Gaia, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is nominated for Best Five-Star Hotel after its opening last year. Amarello Hotel Praia Santo André, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is nominated for Best Four-Star Hotel - a distinction that highlights the prestige of this hotel, less than a year after opening its doors. A little more south, in Évora, Hilton Garden Inn Évora was nominated for Best City Hotel. This was the first hotel of the Group to open in the Alentejo region.

The Portugal Travel Awards by Publituris recognize the companies, brands, and hospitality projects that have most distinguished themselves in Portugal’s tourism industry. Nominees are selected by the editorial team at Publituris based on criteria including innovation, media visibility, national and international recognition, and official tourism performance indicators.

This triple nomination reflects Mercan’s long-term commitment to developing hospitality projects that combine international brand standards with strong local identity, architectural character, and authentic guest experiences. It also reinforces the growing recognition of AHM’s management approach across different hospitality segments, whether in luxury lifestyle hotels or coastal leisure destinations.

Voting for the Portugal Travel Awards by Publituris 2026 takes place exclusively online between May 11 and June 12, 2026, with winners to be announced later this year.
