Casa das Lérias Welcomes Summer With Yoga, Creativity, Running and a Solidarity Walk in Amarante

Casa das Lérias is celebrating the arrival of summer with a diverse program of outdoor activities throughout June, inviting guests and locals to embrace the season through wellness, creativity and community-driven experiences in the heart of Amarante.

Every Saturday at 9:00 a.m., the accommodation's garden overlooking the Tâmega River becomes the setting for yoga sessions led by Diana Teixeira, from Equilibrium Studio. The 50-minute classes combine the dynamic flow of Hatha–Vinyasa Yoga with the slower and restorative practice of Yin Yoga, creating an experience suitable for different levels and physical conditions.

Following each session, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., participants can enjoy a brunch at Lérias Doces & Café, with options including a bacon and egg sandwich, yogurt with granola and fruit, or pancakes with fruit, accompanied by water, juice and coffee with or without milk. The yoga session is priced at €12 per person, while brunch is available for an additional €7.

Ahead of World Children’s Day, Casa das Lérias is also hosting a creative mural activity for younger guests, inviting children to paint their own faces and contribute to a collective artwork filled with color, imagination and individuality.

On June 10, in celebration of Portugal Day, the hotel joins forces with AmaRun Club for a five-kilometer group run through the streets of Amarante. Limited to 40 participants, the experience concludes at Lérias Doces & Café, where runners can recharge with one of three specially prepared €5 menus: natural yogurt with fruit and granola; fresh orange juice with a mixed toast; or a ham and cheese toast served alongside a beer.

The program ends on June 14, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., with a solidarity walk alongside four-legged companions, organized in partnership with Associação Ajuda Animais Amarante. Starting at São Gonçalo Church and ending in the gardens of Casa das Lérias, the initiative combines outdoor leisure with community support, with 5% of the day’s sales donated to the local animal welfare association. Participants will also be welcomed with lemonade and cookies at the end of the walk.

Through this summer program, Casa das Lérias reinforces its connection to the local community while creating meaningful experiences that celebrate well-being, creativity and the unique atmosphere of Amarante during the warmer months.
