Broadway’s Brunch Hosts a Special Children’s Day Edition with a Pancake Workshop

Overlooking the Matosinhos waterfront at Four Points by Sheraton Matosinhos, a hotel in Porto operated by Mercan Properties, Chef André Carvalho is preparing a special morning for young aspiring cooks. On May 31, Sunday, Children’s Day inspires a special edition of Broadway’s Brunch, transforming the Kids Club into a space for discovery and creativity through a cooking workshop designed especially for children.

Before rolling up their sleeves and getting hands-on in the kitchen, children will be welcomed with an apron and chef’s hat worthy of true chefs. Led by Chef André Carvalho, the workshop invites young participants to learn how to make pancakes using simple and fun techniques that they can later recreate at home and share with their families.

Meanwhile, adults can enjoy a relaxed morning at the brunch buffet, sampling some of Broadway’s Brunch favorites, such as Mediterranean couscous and smoked salmon toast. For egg lovers, the Chef recommends the Eggs Benedict or the Egg Royale, served with sourdough bread, mixed greens, smoked salmon, and hollandaise sauce. Alongside yogurt bowls, the dessert selection also includes pancakes with a variety of toppings, moist chocolate cake, and burnt lemon tart.

The special Children’s Day edition of Broadway’s Brunch will take place on Sunday, May 31, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Participation in the workshop is complimentary and only requires a brunch reservation, priced at €35 per person, €17.50 for children between 4 and 12 years old, and free for children up to 4 years old.
