Mercan Properties Welcomes Beijing Immigration Association Delegation to Portugal

Mercan Properties welcomed a delegation of 17 members from the Beijing Immigration Association on May 21 and 22, reinforcing collaboration between Portugal and China in investment and international mobility.

Over two days, the delegation followed a structured program designed to provide direct insight into Mercan’s hospitality portfolio and investment opportunities. The visit included site tours of three hotels in operation in the Alentejo region: Amarello Hotel Praia Santo André, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn Évora and Holiday Inn Express Évora. With the presence of Shumin Gao, Marketing Director of Mercan China/Hong Kong/Taiwan, and Shuangshuang Li, Senior Manager – Business Development & Fund Specialist, the Beijing Immigration Association also visited two projects in Lisbon currently under construction: Riverside Downtown and Lisbon Skyview.

The agenda also featured a special session at Mercan Properties’ Lisbon office to present the current investment opportunities for global mobility. During this session, Jordi Vilanova, President at Mercan Properties, delivered a brief introduction ahead of the conference kickoff, alongside Shumin Gao, Marketing Director of Mercan China/Hong Kong/Taiwan and Shuangshuang Li, Senior Manager – Business Development & Fund Specialist.

This visit highlights Mercan’s ongoing commitment to strengthening international partnerships and promoting Portugal as a strategic destination for global investment.
