Casa das Lérias Joins Charity Dog Walk

The Ajuda Animais Association, based in Amarante, is organizing a charity dog walk on June 14 that aims to bring together families, friends, and their four-legged companions for a morning of socializing, exercise, and support for the animal welfare cause. The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., starting next to the Church of São Gonçalo and ending at the Casa das Lérias Garden.

The activity aims to raise support for the work carried out by the association in protecting and promoting the welfare of animals. Participation costs €5 and includes a t-shirt and a bottle of water for each registered participant.

In addition to the walk, participants will be able to enjoy a social gathering at the end of the route, with complimentary lemonade and cookies. The organization also highlights an additional charitable component: 5% of all sales made at Casa das Lérias on that day will be donated to support the animals cared for by the Ajuda Animais Association.

The initiative is open to the entire community, and participation is possible with or without a dog. The association invites everyone interested to join the cause, emphasizing that every contribution helps ensure better conditions for the animals sheltered and cared for by the organization.
