“The Haunted Circus”: Blss U Transforms Into a Circus of Horrors to Celebrate Halloween

Blss U, the restaurant at Sé Catedral Hotel Porto, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is preparing to celebrate the darkest night of the year with an experience that promises to challenge even the bravest guests. True to its unconventional spirit, the restaurant will transform for one night to host “The Haunted Circus – Welcome to the Darkest Show on Earth,” bringing together gastronomy, music, entertainment, and frightening characters.

The experience begins at the table with “The Haunted Food Show,” a buffet that follows the evening’s theme, featuring options such as “Haunted Tent Pumpkin Soup,” a roasted pumpkin and ginger cream soup; “Bloody Shrimp Shot,” with shrimp and spicy mayonnaise; “Ringmaster’s Mini Burger,” a mini beef burger; and “Ghost Mozzarella Skewers,” featuring mozzarella and tomato.

Main courses include options such as “Sacred Ground Cod,” featuring “sacred ground” cod and smashed potatoes, while “Black Circus Pork Cheek” combines pork cheek with dark beer and dark chocolate. As a vegetarian option, the restaurant also offers “Forbidden Tagine,” a combination of sweet potato and dried apricot.

The sweeter side of the evening is dedicated to the “Sweet Freak Show,” which begins with a tribute to chocolate, featuring “Midnight Chocolate Mousse,” “Killer Clown Brownie,” and “Ringmaster’s Brigadeiro Cake.” Other options include “Black Circus Cheesecake” and “Haunted Pumpkin Cake,” as well as “Freak Show Macarons” and sliced fruit.

At the bar, the evening will also feature its own cocktail menu, “The Freak Show,” with themed creations ranging from the red and fruity “Bloody Circus” to the more intense “Black Widow,” along with “Toxic Clown” and “Ringmaster.”

Entertainment will be one of the evening’s highlights, with themed music and characters circulating throughout the venue during the event. At the stroke of midnight, “The Haunted Show” will begin, featuring a performance led by the Ringmaster, who will take the stage accompanied by other figures from the horror series. To complete the experience, Blss U challenges guests to arrive dressed as their darkest selves, with the promise of crowning the King or Queen of the Haunted Circus, titles that come with prizes and special offers.

Doors are scheduled to open at 8:00 PM, with tickets for The Haunted Circus starting at €15 for the first 30 tickets, increasing to €18 afterward. Each ticket includes admission to the event and access to the buffet, while beverages are not included in the admission price.
